you can pause here \ cards
you can pause here is a phrase we use to mark moments of quiet in everyday life.
As well as on the website, it appears on small cards included with an order, and sometimes left in places where a pause might be welcome, to be discovered later. A bench. A café table. A windowsill. Inside a parcel, slipped between paper.
There is nothing to do and nothing to respond to.
It isn’t a prompt or a request - simply an invitation, offered without instruction or expectation.
The words are deliberately simple. They don’t ask for reflection, productivity, or change. They don’t suggest improvement or optimisation. They exist to interrupt momentum, briefly, and to soften the moment you’re already in.
A pause doesn’t have to be long to be meaningful. It might be a breath before standing. A moment of stillness while waiting. A brief noticing - of light, warmth, or quiet - before moving on.
you can pause here doesn’t ask you to stop your day.
It only reminds you that stopping, even for a moment, is allowed.
Often, that moment passes almost unnoticed.
Sometimes that reminder is enough.
